When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

Sunday morning. Adrian always grabs me a coffee, takes the kids for a bike ride to give me some time “just for me, myself and I.” I love it. It recharges me, makes me get back into loving what I do the most and that is, being a wife, a friend and mother of 4 young kids. 

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care? 

Daily practice for me is stretching or rolling. This combines as my mini meditation time out, to focus on my breathing and clears my head before I kick off my day. 

Other self care times are massages, facials, catching up with girlfriends and walking along the beach. 

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

YOU simply make time for YOU. No-one else will create that special 10 minutes or 1 hour. If you don’t ask, you will never know. That’s my mantra. Ask for help, ask a friend to take the kids even if it’s for half an hour or to get your hair done. Something special for you. YOU matter so please make YOU a priority today. You’re so worth it xx
