When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?
Last Sunday! But it doesn’t happen that regularly. I had brunch with girlfriends and it was heaven sent. After being away for a little bit, not being a mom but a friend, careless and free. I came home recharged and happy, which makes me a better mom.
What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?
Keeping fit physically. I do yoga three times a week, it helps my body as much as it helps my mind. I also go to the gym once or twice a week, sweating out the anxiety and worry is the best way for me to feel brand new for the next day.
What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?
Just DO IT, I am not slewing a certain slogan, I am saying it works! Don’t put it aside, don’t put it on your future agenda, just do it, and do it now. Your future self will thank you.
