When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

‘Me time’ is so hard! It’s hard to find the time to indulge in it and it’s also hard to remember what I actually used to like doing when I wasn’t so busy with kids and work etc. I’ve found that I’m better off grabbing me time in tiny bits – a bath here and there (before the kids come in too!) I’ve also just got back into reading after 8 solid years of babies and little kids. These holidays I’ve been getting up half an hour early to have a quiet coffee and read stuff on the internet before my kids wake up. 

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

Reading, I exercise twice a week, I sneak off to a movie maybe twice a year… but a cup of coffee and uninterrupted time on Instagram is my fave!

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

I suppose remember that ten minutes is better than zero minutes. The tiniest little moment of peace and quiet can sometimes get you through a whole day.
