When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?
My last shower for 5 mins. I thought of how I was going to save the world and had all these genius ideas about life. Then I got out and forgot them all! Haha! Single mum life: the juggle is real.
What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?
I love having regular chiropractic care. It takes the pressure off my life line: my spine and nerves, and I get to have clearer signals from brain to body by removing vertebral subluxations.
I also go and serve. Life is about loving and serving others. When I feel down, I’ll go and help others. I’ll be present and in this space, we make a difference to the community and world together. Because we are all connected. It comes back full circle and then I give again.
What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?
Get to know your community. It takes a village. As cliche as it sounds, it really does and we need to be ok with being vulnerable and real. Ask and thou shalt receive.
