When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?
The last time I had a me-time was last Tuesday. I took the time to take care of myself with a massage (lymphatic drainage) – a moment of pause – for an 1 hour.
What are your favorite ways to practice self-care?
My best moments of self-care are when I can get a little time alone.
It can be a longer than usual bath, when I put on a good song, I exfoliate my skin and then moisturize.
I also like it when I take time to breathe in some fresh air, and go for a walk along the beach or in the park – relaxes me a lot.
Taking Pilates classes is one of my favorite activities. In Pilates you need to breathe slowly, concentrate, focus on the movements, do stretching – so I find that’s when I reconnect with myself, with my body and soul.
And I love my massage session (lymphatic drainage). I reserve two 1 hour sessions a week for that!
What advice would you give to breasts struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for you?
To create a me-time you have make it part of your routine, otherwise it won’t happen. If you leave it to “when I’m done this” or when there is “time left,” it will never come because our children always demand of us.
So you have to create me-time in your routine! How? If your kids go to school, take the time to take care for yourself when they are away.
If they still do not go to school, make time for them to stay with Grandma, with Dad, a close and trustworthy person.
If the kids are at an age where you can do some activities then they are with you, try to make some time that is dedicated to you.
Whatever your situation make time!
