When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

Yesterday! I try to give myself “me-time” every day. I live for my personal time. I am a much better mother and wife when I take time to nourish my heart & my soul. My alone time yesterday was spent reading uplifting talks.

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

I typically spend my personal time doing yoga & stretching, listening to peaceful music, while deep breathing and meditating. I spend at least 10 minutes (almost) every day reading something up-lifting. I love exercise & I love soaking in epsom salt baths. My most favorite me-time however, is when I have 30 minutes to give myself a Face Zone treatment, which is a healing method that connects your body, mind, and spirit & invigorates your soul!

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

Making time for myself as a new mother has been quite a challenge. It was very difficult for me to figure out how to fit it in. A few months ago I started practicing “mindful mornings”, and it has been life changing! I wake up 30-60 minutes before my baby and do the things I listed above. I take time for myself first thing in the morning, and get a peaceful, head-start to my day. I know it can be hard to wake up early when you don’t get very much sleep (mom life), but now I am in the habit of going to bed earlier so I can wake up to a positive day.
