When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

The last time that I had “me-time” was about 3 weeks ago when I went for my pedicure. I try to really go every month or so.
I like to get pampered but I usually bring with me my agenda and iPhone or laptop so I can catch up on emails and work a little bit. I know I should take this time to relax and maybe read a book, a magazine or just enjoy the pedicure but I feel like I lose time. I should go for a facial, that way I would be sure that I enjoy since our eyes needs to be closed haha.

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

I really like skin care products as well as hair care. I usually take the time after my shower to do all my skincare routine and also TRY to take the time to apply cream + massage my body. The kids are usually in bed when I take my night shower so I can really enjoy it.

Once or twice a year, I will take the time to take a bath, with candles, music and a glass of rosé.

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

I totally think it’s like booking an appointment, it’s taking time to do it or to find the time.

I think that self care ( at home ) is easier since it can be done at almost any time of the day, you don’t need to drive or any baby sitter. We deserve this special time and I think it’s part of finding  balance. It’s totally a must. When you take that extra minute in the shower or you take the time to apply your night cream, it feels sooo good.
