When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?
Does using the bathroom this morning count? If I’m honest, me-time is a thing of the past for me, as a WAHM with a two year old finding time for even just a hot coffee is difficult. Me time is the hardest thing to fit into my schedule so I have found that I have had to accept smaller me time victories.
What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?
I do like to make sure I exfoliate in the shower every morning and put make up on every morning. But on a more serious note, I do like to meditate for a few minute just before falling asleep – it helps to clear my mind which helps me get to sleep.
What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?
That is a great question! Where do I “turn on notifications for this post”? Honestly the hardest thing is putting yourself first once in a while, it’s a concept that doesn’t seem to come easy but sometimes, as the meme should go….gotta put your big girl pants on and get your nails done! The washing will still be there when you get home, the emails will wait an extra hour to be replied to – but your sanity and mental health are important – take that hour and reboot.
