When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

At the moment … I am early to hot yoga & waiting for the class to start! 

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

Yoga is a big one. I recently started it up again. 

I can’t emphasize enough how important “me-time” is for self care. 

My husband and I try to work out time for each other to be social or take time to be alone every week. 

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

It’s so difficult – especially when you’re exhausted and it feels like you don’t have an extra minute. I really believe it takes a significant other, a family member, or a close friend to help provide this time. I realize not everyone has that help, and if you don’t my advice would be, at the start or end of your day after your little ones are asleep or before they wake up do something for YOU. Don’t clean, don’t cook, don’t read up on parenting. Read a book that’s not parenting related, sit and be quiet, enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee, do something that YOU love. And if you do have help, try to schedule time each week for it. Start off slow and build up to what you and your little ones can handle.
