When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

Yesterday evening when I was out with friends for some drinks, food and fun.

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

I think that catching up with friends is one of the best ways of taking care of myself. I also run, as it is easy – you can do it anywhere at any time and as long as you want. I also have noticed that I need to sometimes make myself a cup of tea to sit down and think. Thinking and making the right decisions on anything from grocery shopping to holiday plans to major life decisions takes time – and it is a necessity we don’t often afford ourselves.

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

I think that budgeting for a babysitter one evening every week by default is worth it. It means that you can meet up with friends, go on a date night, do an exercise class or whatever else you feel like doing. It is worth paying for and in my mind, more important than any expensive buggy or equipment.
