When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

Today! I got up early and went for a 4 mile run. I got into running after I had my son, Armaan, as a way to get back into shape. Little did I know at the time that it would become a form of release and therapy. I love to listen to my music or National Public Radio and just get lost in my breath. 

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

I love love love to get a blowout every week! It’s sort of my guilty pleasure. 
I’m kinda addicted to sheet masks and love trying new ones weekly!

Getting a workout in. Doesn’t matter if it’s a run or yoga but I like being active. I love how I feel afterwards! 

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

My advice to mamas would be to reach out and ask for help. I truly believe it takes a village and you need to reach out to family and friends to help you. 

When Armaan was younger I found that even an hour out of the house by myself was just enough and I felt recharged and usually found myself rushing back home to be with him! 

Luckily I have a sitter who I use 2-3 times a week that allows me to take some time for myself. Also since my son started pre-school I have become super wise with my time. I try to finish errands and get me-time in the morning when he’s at school so my afternoons are clear and we can enjoy time together at home or doing something fun.
