When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

I have my son full time and he isn’t in day care so “me-time” is very rare but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love taking Rexie out for morning walks in his pram so I can enjoy some quiet time whilst he enjoys his. As a busy mother running a business from home, I’ve done my best to teach Rexie how to enjoy quiet time and entertain himself. It has been beautiful to watch his imagination develop!!! 

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

Most evenings I’ll try set aside at least 10 minutes for self care to enjoy a cup of tea and a nice stretch. I find reading a couple of pages from my chosen book at the time right before I go to bed, relaxes my mind also so I’m able to sleep deeply which sets me up for a wonderful day! 

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

Not to put too much pressure on yourself. Juggling motherhood is tough work in the beginning, “me-time” comes with practice. A little bit here and there does wonders!!
