When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

The last time I had “me-time” was on our Mexico family vacation last week. My husband scheduled me a massage on the beach and it was just perfect.

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

I love going for a solo run, taking a bubble bath, reading a good magazine, getting a mani/pedi or going to my workout class at the local gym. I also attend a local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group through my church with other mamas and I look forward to chatting with them over breakfast once a week 🙂

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

I would say “me-time” is really important for any mama. I’m fortunate enough to have a hubby who’s super supportive of that too. But if you don’t have the help or time in your day to create “me-time” my advice would be to find 10 minutes to do something for yourself- whether it’s a 10 minute bubble bath after the kiddos go to bed or having your coffee solo before they wake up or relaxing with a good mag during nap. The dishes and laundry can wait. That short breather is good for the soul.
