When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?
I always make room for a little bit of me time every day. Usually it’s early in the morning (my body clock is set to 4am) or late at night. I love to listen to audiobooks with a cup of tea.
What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?
Meditation. I’m also strong believer that eating well is a form of self care – making sure we’re being nourished with the best quality foods.
What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?
Every morning I go for a quick 10 minute gratitude walk. I find it creates a positive momentum that usually lasts all day long. It makes you present and looking for the best in everything. I would highly suggest it! Majority of the time we’re too busy to take a period of time alone to restore. But me-time doesn’t have to be in one big chunk, it can be lots of little moments. Appreciate the small things and you will feel more grounded.
