When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

I had the most amazing bath on Saturday night (I know what a wild Saturday) with some gorgeous Matcha Maiden x Melissa Ambrosini bath salts from Project You + Me.

I also went for a run on Wednesday – it means getting up at ridiculous o’clock but it’s nice to have some time before work and before life starts to do something good for me.

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

For me, self-care is a mindset. It’s about valuing me, not being so hard on myself all the time and taking some time each day to do something I enjoy. It might as simple as going for a walk for 5 minutes to get a coffee, listening to music before bed or going for a run.

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

It’s hard! I work full time and leave home before 7am every day and am gone for 11+ hours. When I get home I have to cook dinner, get all of our things ready for the following day, do some housework, spend some quality time with Evie before she goes down, spend some quality time with hubby before bed – to be quite honest it’s exhausting and I’m still finding my balance!

So my secret is to make time, it’s the only way. I get up extra early so I have some downtime before my day kicks into gear or I go to bed half an hour early and listen to classical music and spend some time reflecting. Oh and of course the odd Saturday night bath here and there too.
