When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time? 

“Me” time is incredibly rare these days. As a working mom, the “Me” time I enjoy the most is being with my kids. They feed my soul in so many ways. After 4 years of doing zero exercise I started waking at 5:45am to go to pilates twice a week. I’m really proud of myself as I’ve never been a real morning person and found that getting my body going early makes me feel better all day long. 

What are some of your favorite ways to practice self care? 

Spending time with my girlfriends! I try to plan one girl dinner or event each week to make sure I keep inspired by incredible women. 

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? 

No matter what you do, try to find even 10 minutes a day for YOU. Whether it’s having a cup of coffee while watching the news, eating something indulgent that you love, talking on the phone with a friend or going on a walk, make it a priority. 

How do you make time in your schedule for yourself? 

I schedule time for myself in some tiny way every day. Whether it’s a date night with my husband each week (we’re religious about this!), waking up early to exercise or just making a nourishing smoothie for my body each day, I treat these moments as essentials to my own self care.
