When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

I recently returned from a trip overseas for my best friend’s bachelorette party. It was two whole weeks of “me time” and although I missed my son so much I came back feeling so energised and replenished.

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

Self care often involves cups of tea, baths and time spent with friends child-free, allowing myself to remember I’m more than just a mother.

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself?

I don’t really feel like I can give advice to any mother. Personally I find a way to make “me time” manageable, even if it’s just 15 minutes having a cup of tea when my son is asleep. I make it a priority and a “must do” each day. I also have very supportive friends who are really proactive in getting me out of the house, so a good support network is essential in my experience.
