When was the last time you had “me-time” and how did you spend that time?

I had 10 minutes alone to enjoy a hot coffee today at 4:30 after my husband came home ‘early’ from work. I told him I didn’t want to talk or see anyone until I finished my coffee and came downstairs 🙂 It was such a great 10 minutes, enjoying my coffee while it was hot and responding to emails without five interruptions.

What are some of your favourite ways to practice self care?

I enjoy having a quick shower daily, putting on a little makeup and wearing something nice (even if it gets coated in spitup).

What advice would you give to mamas struggling to create “me-time”? How do you make time in your schedule for yourself? 

It’s really difficult! I’m still struggling. I try to celebrate the small wins, so I don’t feel completely defeated. One thing I learnt with my first boy, Avery, was during nap time not to rush around trying to do 15 different things and failing at 14 of them – which happened because I wasn’t focused. Now I just try to enjoy some quiet time and unwind. It’s time better spent.
