I first visited Essential Bodywork on a  holiday to Noosa in 2016. I had read about Kimberlee (the owner) and her business on Trip Advisor, where she ranked number one for massages in the region. I loved my first experience so much I vowed to return.

Located in a gorgeous white weatherboard building Essential Bodywork has grown since my last visit, in that Kimberlee has been joined by two other therapists specializing in Hawaiian massage.

Before my holiday to Noosa I’d spent a good 6-8 weeks with various illnesses including shingles, which interrupted by goal of a massage a fortnight.

Just when I thought our run of poor family health had come to an end I found myself in emergency at Noosa Hospital with my youngest until the wee hours the night before my scheduled massage. Kimberlee was not only accommodating of my late cancellation but generously offered advice to support my son in his recovery.

When I finally made it to Essential Bodywork I felt well and truly in need of a massage!

The massage was as beautiful as I remembered, with smooth rhythmic flow. Kimberlee also incorporated hot stones and a Kansa Wand into the massage on this occasion. It was the first time I’d come across a Kansa Wand, which is a domed shape instrument made of metal. It’s been used for centuries to relieve stress, enhance health, increase energy, and leave skin glowing. Kimberlee used it on my face – which I found really worked into my tense jaw.

The whole experience was blissful. Will definitely be back again next visit.
